Best friends since high school and now business partners, Sarah Kovach Thompson and Angela Vaslavsky are so excited to offer a revolutionary new service to the region. After having their own personal color analysis done by the former owners of House of Colour – Pittsburgh, Sarah and Angela knew it was a perfect business fit for them. Both had started a self care journey and color analysis was a validating step to enhance this journey. We started to see that we not only looked better in our color palette but felt better too. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a sales executive with over 20 years of proven track record, not to mention business owners by trade with extensive knowledge and experience in the fashion world, there isn’t a better business model than this to combine our personal, professional strengths.
Our hope is that our House of Colour business can be an avenue for people to regain their sense of well-being, their sense of confidence, and their sense of self. We have loved every step of this journey with House of Colour and are excited to bring this life-changing service to our hometown. We can’t wait to “color,” with you!
Our Studio
Your journey begins with COLOR ANALYSIS. This in-person consultation will identify the most flattering colors of clothing and makeup that complement your features. In addition, we’ll create a personalized makeup kit tailored specifically to your needs. With this newfound knowledge, you will gain confidence in purging your wardrobe and shopping with greater intention. Take home a color fan, color booklet, and tools to begin transforming your closet.
The next step in your wardrobe transformation journey involves a wardrobe edit and intentional shopping for key pieces. Utilizing resources such as MyHOCLookBook you will learn to design a closet that sparks joy and is easier to navigate.

Get dressed every day with purpose, ease, and JOY! A color analysis provides you with life-changing information. Using precision-dyed drapes and my extensive training I will prove to you the value of knowing your season; a palette of colors customized to your unique undertones. We apply this information to women, men, and children of all races, ethnicities, and genders. Your season will never change so this is information you can carry with you for a lifetime.
There are three parts to every color session. First is our world-class, scientific draping process that we have refined for excellence and accuracy over the past four decades. Next, I will provide advice on jewellery, watches, glasses, and when applicable: hair and makeup based on your season. Our makeup products will take the guesswork out of choosing colors that highlight your natural beauty. Finally, we'll dive further into your season and choose the best colors for your casual and professional life, discovering your list of WOW colors.
You will leave your appointment with a fan of your seasonal swatches and a brochure full of tips and reminders specific to you that you can reference later to make shopping and wearing your new colors a confident experience!
You should arrive at your analysis free of spray tans and makeup for optimal accuracy. No pictures will be taken without permission, nor are they shared on social media without your consent.
