What is Color Analysis?
Color analysis is a science-based evaluation process that utilizes a hundred years of color theory knowledge, your personal tonalities (eye, hair, skin, undertones), and our precision dyed drapes to determine a palette of colors that harmonize with and enhance your natural beauty. Based on Johannes Itten's work with the color wheel, personal color analysis can be traced back to the 1940s film industry and is still used today, in Hollywood and in everyday life!

Style Analysis is a multi-step process of learning how to combine your body architecture, lifestage, and personality into a wardrobe that feels authentic to you. Delight in the freedom of dressing in a way that honors both your inside and your outside, regardless of what fashions are trending.

Hi there, I'm Hayley. Somewhere between changing diapers and re-learning algebra, I lost myself. Amidst the daily routines of trying to be everything for everyone else, I forgot that I was made to bring glory to my Creator. For me, this color & style journey was a transformational springboard to re-evaluating how I was showing up in my own story.
As a classically trained artist (BFA Studio Art, Arizona State University), I'm no stranger to color theory or understanding how it can impact an audience. When I learned how to apply those principals to the custom canvas (face and body) I was given, it felt like being handed a magic key that unlocked new levels of confidence and ease. Helping others uncover their masterpiece potential is a sweet culmination of all the things I enjoy doing!
When not in my studio, you can find me elbow deep in house projects or sipping sweet tea on my front porch swing. I also enjoy sailing blue waters with my husband, challenging my kiddos to ruthless rounds of card games, riding bikes through balmy summer evenings, treasure hunting among thrift store aisles, and praising Jesus for the way I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
My home studio is located in the Sherwood Lakes neighborhood of southern Virginia Beach, VA. This serene, private space is dedicated to guiding my clients through the journey of discovering their very best hues and clothing personalities.

House of Colour - Back Bay
Get dressed every day with purpose, ease, and JOY! A color analysis provides you with life-changing information. Using precision-dyed drapes and my extensive training I will prove to you the value of knowing your season; a palette of colors customized to your unique undertones. We apply this information to women, men, and children of all races, ethnicities, and genders. Your season will never change so this is information you can carry with you for a lifetime.
There are three parts to every color session. First is our world-class, scientific draping process that we have refined for excellence and accuracy over the past four decades. Next, I will provide advice on jewellery, watches, glasses, and when applicable: hair and makeup based on your season. Our makeup products will take the guesswork out of choosing colors that highlight your natural beauty. Finally, we'll dive further into your season and choose the best colors for your casual and professional life, discovering your list of WOW colors.
You will leave your appointment with a fan of your seasonal swatches and a brochure full of tips and reminders specific to you that you can reference later to make shopping and wearing your new colors a confident experience!
You should arrive at your analysis free of spray tans and makeup for optimal accuracy. No pictures will be taken without permission, nor are they shared on social media without your consent.
SINGLE COLOR ANALYSIS : 1 PERSON ($300)
GROUP DISCOUNT : 2+ PEOPLE ($270 per person)
YOUTH COLOR ANALYSIS: AGES 10-14 ($200)
Discover the science behind personal style by unlocking the power of you. During a style analysis, I'll teach you how to combine who you are with how you dress so you can step out into the world looking fabulous as your authentic self. We consider your proportions, personality, and preferences to give you a style framework- we call this a “Clothing Personality. You will confidently know which fabrics, prints, patterns, and accessories, necklines, details, and silhouettes flatter your unique body architecture best. Because we factor your personality into this framework, our style analysis goes a step further to help you identify how you feel in different styles and pieces so your clothing not only looks great but also represents who you are.
For this appointment, you’ll bring 5–10 items from your closet that you LOVE and 5–10 that make you wonder why you don’t feel good when putting them on. We'll use this information to help you discover why you gravitated toward and loved certain pieces and what it is about the others that weren't working for you, so you save time and money in the future! At House of Colour, we believe clothing needs to be adjusted to you, not the other way around. It is our goal to make sure you feel your most confident as who you are and how you look right now.
You’ll leave with a book with detailed information specific to you that we'll fill out during the appointment and a Clothing Personality card with keywords that will help guide you when shopping. If you've already had a color analysis, this card can be inserted into your fan which will make shopping easy and efficient!
PRIVATE STYLE ANALYSIS : 1 PERSON ($350)
This appointment is designed to take the knowledge you gained in your color and/or style appointment and apply it to your own specific wardrobe. I will help you filter through the pieces you don't wear so you can donate them and provide joy to someone else and keep your own closet free from clutter so you can better mix and match pieces in your wardrobe to create more looks with fewer items.
1 HOUR MINIMUM : ($100/HR)

I was drawn to her background as an artist and after our first email I could tell she was the right fit for me. Her communication with me from the booking process until the day of my analysis and after have been fantastic.
I was not sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and very professional. Her studio was adorable, very clean, with the right feel to it even down to the classy pink chair. I learned so much this afternoon, I am grateful her for taking the time to explain the process, answering all my questions, and going through each and every color to find the "perfect" fit for me.
The make up process was mind blowing to me to see how different I looked, and who knew for me brown mascara was the "it" piece that I just couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. Lipsticks I would have never thought of looked amazing on. It was the self confidence boost I didn't even know I needed.
