My name is Kristi MacNeill and I am a small-town southern girl from Alabama. I have always had a passion for fashion, dressing up, shopping and advising my friends on style. Remember Glamour Shots? My sister and I would always play "Glamour Shots." We would dress each other up, put on makeup, fix our hair, set up a backdrop and take pictures of our "looks"...I still have many many pictures of this that are priceless.
I decided to pursue my love for fashion and graduated from Auburn (War Eagle!) with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Design and Production Management. I had big dreams of joining the team of the designer I had interned with, Billy Reid. God had other plans. I married my best friend Bruce, who had just commissioned into the Air Force, and our journey took us to Utah!
After having our first child, Trey, in 2010 my life changed. I had never even considered being a stay-at-home mom, but I was bewitched by this small, incredible creature and could never see parting with him. I loved being a stay-at-home mom. So much so, we decided to have three more ragamuffins, as we so lovingly call them. Trey, Hudson, Charlotte and Archer would make me one busy momma. I got to enjoy being a stay at home mom for 12 years!
When we found out we were moving back to Ohio in 2020, we knew we wanted to live in a small town. Bellbrook was at the top of our list, and we were so excited to find a beautiful home here. We’ve lived here for 4 years and hope the good Lord lets us stay here forever…it’s home! Our kids are now school aged and I have decided the perfect blend of stay-at-home mom and working mom is to open House of Colour Bellbrook with a studio in my home! I am finally living my dreams and seeing the impact I can have on people for good. This process is life changing, if you'll allow it and go all in.
I've always believed that life is better when lived in COLOR and I am passionate about making each person who walks into my studio feel beautiful exactly the way God made you. My prayer is that I am able to empower you to live boldly, colorfully, and authentically true to yourself. Get dressed every day with purpose, ease, and JOY! A color analysis provides you with life-changing information. Using precision-dyed drapes and my extensive training I will prove to you the value of knowing your season; a palette of colors customized to your unique undertones. We apply this information to women, men, and children of all races, ethnicities, and genders. Your season will never change so this is information you can carry with you for a lifetime.
There are three parts to every color session. First is our world-class, scientific draping process that we have refined for excellence and accuracy over the past four decades. Next, I will provide advice on jewellery, watches, glasses, and when applicable: hair and makeup based on your season. Our makeup products will take the guesswork out of choosing colors that highlight your natural beauty. Finally, we'll dive further into your season and choose the best colors for your casual and professional life, discovering your list of WOW colors.
You will leave your appointment with a fan of your seasonal swatches and a brochure full of tips and reminders specific to you that you can reference later to make shopping and wearing your new colors a confident experience!
You should arrive at your analysis free of spray tans and makeup for optimal accuracy. No pictures will be taken without permission, nor are they shared on social media without your consent.
House of Colour consultants use a science based, time-tested color analysis process to discover the color palette and seasonal colors that best suit your unique skin tone. During this transformational session you will see for yourself the colors that make you look brighter, fresher and healthier! You will discover life changing evidence that will place you in one of 4 seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. This is not the same color analysis that was around when puffed sleeves and permed bangs were popular. This is seriously the most fun and enlightening thing you’ll ever do for yourself. It will change the way you think and feel about your wardrobe forever! Shopping is simplified when you can eliminate at least half of the colors offered. Getting dressed will be easier and you will show up feeling confident that you are wearing your best colors. Spend less time stressing about your look and more time doing what you love!
Another part of each color analysis is learning our 90 second makeup routine with our bespoke makeup line. This very personalized service will help you build a customized makeup kit with the products that make you SHINE. We will match mineral powder and blush to your individual coloring, and then help you find YOUR perfect lipsticks! You will leave with a palette of colors tailored to you, a booklet full of information about your season, and a beautiful color swatch 'fan' - giving you the knowledge to wear and shop for your best colors boldly.
Discover the science behind personal style by unlocking the power of you. During a style analysis, I'll teach you how to combine who you are with how you dress so you can step out into the world looking fabulous as your authentic self. We consider your proportions, personality, and preferences to give you a style framework- we call this a “Clothing Personality. You will confidently know which fabrics, prints, patterns, and accessories, necklines, details, and silhouettes flatter your unique body architecture best. Because we factor your personality into this framework, our style analysis goes a step further to help you identify how you feel in different styles and pieces so your clothing not only looks great but also represents who you are.
For this appointment, you’ll bring 5–10 items from your closet that you LOVE and 5–10 that make you wonder why you don’t feel good when putting them on. We'll use this information to help you discover why you gravitated toward and loved certain pieces and what it is about the others that weren't working for you, so you save time and money in the future! At House of Colour, we believe clothing needs to be adjusted to you, not the other way around. It is our goal to make sure you feel your most confident as who you are and how you look right now.
You’ll leave with a book with detailed information specific to you that we'll fill out during the appointment and a Clothing Personality card with keywords that will help guide you when shopping. If you've already had a color analysis, this card can be inserted into your fan which will make shopping easy and efficient!
During this transformational appointment you will discover how to dress your body shape and proportions in the most flattering way - but also how to reflect your personality through your clothes. We will review your existing wardrobe, your lifestyle, shopping habits and budget to develop a style that is authentic and unique to you. At the end of the style appointment you will have a detailed understanding of the styles and shapes of clothing that work best for you and why – fully equipped with the knowledge you need to start building your own wardrobe that works for your lifestyle and budget.
This appointment is designed to take the knowledge you gained in your color and/or style appointment and apply it to your own specific wardrobe. I will help you filter through the pieces you don't wear so you can donate them and provide joy to someone else and keep your own closet free from clutter so you can better mix and match pieces in your wardrobe to create more looks with fewer items.
