I have done a color session and styling session with Sammie and they were so insightful. Not to mention fun! I was really surprised about my color season and over the last few months I've been discovering which autumn colors look best on me and got confirmation about certain colors that I've always known were the best. As for the style session, I learned a few new things about my body and how to dress it. She was very patient and we had a great discussion about how to make my style my own within the parameters of my style archetype. I definitely recommend that anyone (man or woman) who is concerned about their public image (professional, speaker, service provider, etc) do this! I'm a branding photographer and I wish everyone who invests in professional photos with me would do this FIRST. It's knowledge you can use for the rest of your life to look and feel your best.

I very much enjoyed my color analysis and I learned valuable information on how to make the most out of my clothing and make-up for a more vibrant, youthful appearance. When Sammie was determining if I was in the warm or cool seasons I was shocked at what a dramatic difference it made in my face. The warm tones made me look 5 years older, then when the cool color was revealed underneath I instantly appeared 5 years younger! My skin looked great and the whites of my eyes were even whiter! That was the point I was completely sold on the concept. Sammie was very thorough in her analysis. She made it fun and I felt confident she gave me the right color “diagnosis”. I ended up being Summer. I was surprised by many of the colors that work for me, but I am loving the changes I have been making to my wardrobe. I had been attempting to make my wardrobe match by buying lots of gray and black which turns out was all wrong. Now that I have purged my closet everything is in harmony and I look forward to shopping with a purpose in the future. I finally bought that pink purse I always wanted but thought of as impractical…come to find out it literally goes with everything I own! The make-up portion was a real eye-opener as well. I had given up on lipstick in the past because I never knew what color to use, now I have several colors that look amazing. I’m a lipstick girl now! With some work up front, looking my best will come naturally and easily as I move forward into the future. Letting the colors work for me is the best foundation, in my opinion, to have a look I can be proud of as I get older. I would highly recommend getting a color analysis from Sammie! I am excited to do the style portion when it is available to complete my HOC education so I can use what I already have going for me to the best of my ability.

I am feeling amazing about all you taught me. I actually purged about 40 percent of my closet. I had a ton of autumn garments. Interestingly enough, I didn’t start collecting all the wrong shades until I started collecting boxes from stitch fix and daily look. I most likely instinctively perhaps wouldn’t have selected the same pieces… who knows. Anyway, I am loving the changes. I get compliments all the time on my lipsticks lol. We both know it’s because they are the correct colors.

Hi! Being a Summer is good so far! I’ve started to go through my closet. I’d say about 50% of what I have is in my season. I need to decide which pieces that I’ve pulled out that I want to try and replace in a summer color. I’ve got some brown mascara on the way! And I’m excited for the foundation! I recently got a seasonal color analysis by Sammie. It was such a fun educational experience that I would recommend [it to] everyone interested in color theory and finding the most colors that complement your own coloring. When I first arrived Sammie went over the history of color theory and the science behind it. Then we got settled in and swatched different tones and contrasts to see how they affected the look of my complexion. After determining my personal season and best colors we played around with some makeup to find products that worked with my coloring. To wrap up I was sent home with a color fan of real fabric swatches to help find the colors when shopping and a pamphlet with some more color combo and styling inspiration. Overall I had it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend her to help you find your personal color palette or fashion style.
