For as long as I can remember, I have been enamored with fashion and style. As a little girl, I lived for playing dress up, couldn’t spend enough time at my grandma’s makeup vanity and according to my mom, had very strong opinions about fashion, even as a four-year-old.

Apparently OshKosh B'Gosh never made the cut and Jellies (with a little sparkle, of course) were the only suitable shoes.

As I grew older, I fell into the trap of trends and by my late 20s I was either bored with or didn’t feel confident in the majority of my wardrobe. Getting dressed in the morning was stressful and I dreaded having to pack for trips. All of a sudden, fashion and style weren’t fun anymore.

In the spring of 2016, House of Colour entered my life and, as I like to say, I rediscovered my style swagger. After my color and style consultations, I learned fashion is important, but true style is personal to you. I walked away knowing MY WOW colors and truly understood what it meant to dress for MY body shape.

Later that summer, I attended a women’s conference. I put my tools to work – packing was simple and I didn’t have to buy a single piece of clothing! I was thrilled and so was my bank account. While at the conference I received many compliments on my outfit selections and people were dying to get their hands on my lipstick. However, one compliment stuck with me – a woman I deeply respected and admired approached me and asked what I had been doing differently. I must have given her a confused look as she continued by saying I was radiating confidence and looked so happy. Right then and there I knew I had to share the magic of House of Colour.

As a House of Colour image consultant, I celebrate my client’s individuality by discovering their WOW colors and showing them how to own their personal style.
